My Green Doctor
Develop Sustainable Office Practices
About
My Green Doctor is a free environmental sustainability and climate change program offered by the Climate Psychiatry Alliance to members of CPA.
Most offices save money in their first month using My Green Doctor. It works for healthcare clinics, offices, and outpatient centers. One practice with five offices is saving $1,500 per doctor every year and reducing its greenhouse gases, with no financial investment.
With My Green Doctor, offices and clinics learn to make gradual improvements in their uses of energy, water, chemicals, paper, and other resources.
The program is easy to use, adding only five minutes to each regular staff meeting.
How To Start Using My Green Doctor
Your office manager, or any interested psychiatrists in your office, can register at www.MyGreenDoctor.org.
Once on My Green Doctor, the office will be prompted to commit to the goal of environmental sustainability, as well as to add Green Team business practices to each office-meeting agenda.
There is nothing for the office manager or director to study or prepare; My Green Doctor provides full scripts for your office meetings in the Meeting-by-Meeting Guide.
Offices can qualify for the Green Doctor Office Certificate, provided by the Climate Psychiatry Alliance, within a few months.
My Green Doctor provides free brochures, posters, and other teaching tools to help your practice share green choices with patients and families. These choices can mean lead to less energy and water usage, cleaner air, fewer greenhouse gases, and better health outcomes.
